The Walnut Tree Inn lies just on the edge of Mere in the South West corner of Wiltshire, a few minutes from Shaftesbury, Gillingham, Wincanton, Warminster and Longleat.

Run as a free house by your experienced hosts Mark and Samantha Cassidy, the pub and restaurant really does have something to offer for everyone.

Only a couple of minutes from the A303 and just 5 minutes by car to the famous ornamental gardens and house at Stourhead, The Walnut Tree Inn makes an ideal stopping off place on journeys to and from the west country.

Only 15 minutes by car to the famous Longleat Safari Park and House, and the Centerparcs resort, we are open all day every day to welcome guests to this beautiful part of the south west whether living here, staying on holiday or just passing through for an hour or two.
