"An independent 'local’ recently renovated and revived. This place does great food, serves an excellent selection of beers and is probably the best boozer in Mere (Wiltshire) by far. There is a good menu which varies on a daily basis. On Sunday’s there’s an option to partake in the 'Carvery’, a feast of fleshly delights with all the trimmings. I mean of course, roast beef, pork and lamb. The quality is superb and the attention to detail is faultless. Clean loos, a kids playground, outside seating, regular events, excellent disabled access and really lovely staff make this a charming place. Do drop by if you’re in the area."

"... a great selection of ales and lagers, on tap and is always a very welcoming environment. Guest ales usually include one of the smaller local breweries and are always worth a try, as you will often find some true gems.
The landlord excels at looking after the local community and getting them involved with the pub.
The Food is good honest pub grub and doesn't pretend to be one of the new aged gastro pubs. Consequently the prices are good old fashion pub grub prices not new aged gastro prices., and provide excellent value for money."
"Why should we expect all new build pubs to be banal pastiches of rustic country pubs? Surely if the British pub is to have a future, then it must evolve. As it happens, this particular pub serves an ever-changing range of well-kept ales and offers good value food."
"A good selection of beers here. The food is very good indeed, both at lunch and in the evenings."
"... the place is energetically manged and trying to best meet the needs of the housing development. The pint was good, I did not have time to try the food."
"New Pub, built on an old site, on the edge of a new small estate. Light, bright and lots going on."
"My husband and I found this pub excellent. The staff were superb, The food was excellent, hot, and the cook certainly knows his stuff. All this in a clean ambient atmosphere. I shall certainly recomend this pub to my freinds."
